What will I be doing?
As our office and operations have grown, we need more people to help us keep our physical location and multiple projects running smoothly. This includes a variety of different responsibilities depending on your strengths. The Office Manager will keep things organized, be vigilant in their assigned areas of responsibility, and check in with team members about their office needs. Work will include filing, ordering furniture, and assisting with meeting our regulatory oversight needs.
What are the unique advantages of this job?
Spark offers an established small-team environment with many highly experienced colleagues. You won’t be dealing with people who don’t have a clue what they’re doing or people who are angry at you for not reading their minds. We provide a professional, supportive environment for all our employees at all levels and functions within the company. This includes you.
We also offer full benefits for our administrative team, including a housing subsidy for those living close to our Manhattan office to keep your commute and working hours away from home reasonable.
What are the unique challenges of this job?
This position will require in-person work and some physical labor, like handling incoming deliveries or helping sort through boxes of documents. At Spark, the Office Manager is a job for someone with previous experience and proven capabilities in this area, rather than someone looking to break into the industry through an administrative role.
How is this different from other administrative roles like Executive Assistant?
Executive Assistant jobs involve being dedicated exclusively to a particular individual or team, and performing tasks such as calendar management, email screening, and booking travel. Those functions are not the primary purview for the Office Manager. It is possible that someone with many years of previous Executive Assistant work might find our role a rewarding next step.Apply Online
